It is located in the United States near the Hudson River in New York City， New York.

She is a symbol of freedom， free from the tyranny of constraints.

Origin

Bartholdi under someone else's proposal in 1865， decided to shape a symbol of the statue of freedom， by the French people contributions， as the French government present for the U.S. government to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the independence.
